Li Bai's Poems Idioms Preliminary

Li Bai research was mainly about his family background, artistic life, works collection and etc.. Chinese idiom reflects the Chinese traditional culture in many aspects; it plays an important role in the history of Chinese language. Chinese idiom is an important part in lexical study because of ancient Chinese language features retained in it. As to classification, Professor Xi Xiang's way in ShiJing will be followed. Professor Duanzheng Wen took idioms as glossarial studies from a new angle. In this paper, Mr. Wen's research will be mainly used as a source of reference to explore idioms'semantic and structure categorization.There are four parts in this paper:The first part is a brief introduction on Li Bai, his poetry, and my research approach.The second part is the key part. I will catalog the idioms in LaBai's poems in Professor Xi Xiang's way in ShiJing. And semantic and structure categorization will be done in Mr. Duanzheng Wen's way.Idioms features in Li Bai's poetry will be summarized in the third part.The last part is a summary of this paper.
