Any human creative activity is related to the social, economical, political and cultural conditions, especially influenced by the way of thinking and cultural psychology of a certain age.Based on historical documents, combined with archaeological data, and used the methods of two re-examination, comparative and image science and other methods, packaging design from the"objects level","behavior level"and"psychological level"has been analyzed in flourished feudal society of Ming Dynasty, we can clearly find that the Ming Dynasty's art packaging design background, the cultural connotation out of the design concept and performance are different from the previous generation. The reason is due to the packaging design of Ming Dynasty which is rooted in the socio-economic, living conditions. They affect the design ideas and aesthetic orientation, and determine the final physical form of packaging science and technology. These factors have changed dramatically. From modern design of life entertainment appliances packaging, paper packaging, play equipment packaging, painting poetry packaging, books packaging, supplies of religion packaging, we can get that packaging design of this period shows the court style, literal style, people's spirit, religion style and exotic style and so on. These five styles each with distinctive characteristics, related with each other, fully reflect the diversity of the Ming Dynasty packaging. This distinction and character, in fact, it is close related with the rise of the new thought, the transformation of social value system and lifestyle changes. And make the packaging art in the Ming Dynasty a big progress based on traditional packaging, which is in the daily life, technology and so on.
