A reason of five thousand years of Chinese civilization heritage is that the Chinese nation takes seriously to learn. In the process of inheritance, Pre-Qin Dynasty Confucians contribute because of their ethical thoughts of learning. This study is expected to shape the focus of the ethical thoughts of the Pre-Qin Confucian learning, and then exercisable advises and measures on how to promote modern learning and education, through the contrast and reflection on the ancient and modern learning theory.In the research methods, mainly uses the method of history combining logic, and the comparative study. A lot of quotations are quoted to reveals the essence of the ethical thoughts of the Pre-Qin Confucian learning. This study carries out its discussion in five parts in the body: The first part discusses the learning ethically originates from emotion, specifically love and duty. Pre-Qin Dynasty Confucians give the logic deduction from "Heaven-human nature-learning" to "learning-human-Heaven", and learning means people's rational recognition and value-pursue for study's status. In a word, it also means "Study for Oneself. The second part discusses the virtue of the Pre-Qin Confucian learning, from the purpose, value and leitmotiv. For Pre-Qin Dynasty Confucian, perfecting personality and raising personal morals accomplishment come first and after that follows Consideration of Others, and finally a combined virtue of heaven and man; the ethical thoughts of the Pre-Qin Confucian learning is the carrier of social stabilization the individual values; it stems from the life, also towards life-world, respecting life and caring. The third part discusses the ethical thoughts of the Pre-Qin Confucian learning is consistent with wisdom virtue and practice virtue,"benevolence" and "ceremony", also moral evaluation for perfection. The fourth part discusses, to realize the ideal personality, Pre-Qin Dynasty Confucians propose principles on learning, including the spirits, attitude and particular ways to learn. The fifth part is the reflection on modern theories of learning and education. Although there are some defects, the ethical thoughts of the Pre-Qin Confucian learning still have its important value for encouraging the national moral improvement and the all-round development of society and man because of its abstruse meanings of ethics.
