The historical role of the women of Purple-born in early Byzantine is the combination of various factors. The Roman law provides a legal basis for them to inherit in the imperial succession, and special environment is the favorable conditions for them to step on the political arena. The early Byzantine period is the transition from the classical period to the medieval phase, so in this transition, the ruling period of women of Purple-born also has a great era linking the past and future in history. The women of Purple-born in early Byzantine broke through the traditional women image in classical period, become a public stage star in the political, social and religious, etc. They had an important effect on women ruling, provided a precedent. This dissertation discusses the three parts of the women of Purple-born in early Byzantine, strive to analysis impartially the historical position of them:Based on the background of the rise of family politics, the first part seeks the legitimacy of the women of Purple-born in imperial succession from the Rome Law. Crowned to Augusta is the formal program for the women of Purple-born to walk up the political stage,and their rights becomes reality. The second part analyses briefly the special reasons for the women of Purple-born to the stage of history, according to their participation in the political and social activities to explore their influence in the public domain, and the populace's attitude to the women of Purple-born. In accordance with the aspects of converting to Christianity, solving the religious disputes and promoting the spread of Christianity, the third part analyses historical influence of the women of Purple-born in the religious field. In addition, because they converted to Christianity, the women of Purple-born acquired the church's identity recognition, so this part also contains the attitude of the church to the women of Purple-born.Based on the analysis of the above content, the historical role of the women of Purple-born in the early Byzantine history had an important place. The women of Purple-born have the imperial succession rights to become the successor of family rule, in a way, it avoids confusion and chaotic of the succession to the throne. Participating in social and religious activities; this can be regarded as the expansion and extension of their political activity. Their public images become remarkable. It provides precedent for the later female ruler. Therefore, the status of women of Purple-born in the early Byzantine is indispensable and not allowed to neglect.
