Athens is always considered as the most representative ancient Greek city. Therefore, the prosperity of Athens can represent the prosperity of Greek. The ancient Greek conceived the concept of citizen interdependence earlier, city and citizen are interdependent of each other and community. Democratic political system provides institutional safeguards for citizen in one hand, while high-quality group of citizens provides a solid social basis for democratic system. Without the corresponding system of Athenian citizens, city and citizens would not exist. At the same time, we should realize that there are some limitations in Athens democratic political system.
