| Sartre was a famous existentialist. Freedom is a core of his philosophy. However Sartre constructed Existential Marxist at his later representative philosophy "critique of dialectical reason ".It is on the basis of human needs, which could explain the human history. This paper explains the implication, the content and the meaning of Sartre's human needs, in order that we can definite the certain significance of Sartre's human needs, evaluate the deficiencies and understand Sartre more deeply and more thoroughly.This paper starts from Sartre's definition of the concept of human needs. Then it explains human needs'significance for individual existence and social activity in proper order. The final of this paper is assessment on Sartre's opinion in Marx's perspective. In the sight of Sartre, human needs cause deficiency. And then this paper summarizes multiple aspects of human needs, including:the basic material needs for human to ensure their lives, cultural needs, freedom needs, needs of others and needs for the whole person. The third part interparts human needs'significance for the individual existence and development. Human needs stimulate the individuals'practice, as well as the source of individual lives. And needs provided the impetus for the individual to achieve freedom. The forth part analyzes human needs'significance for social activity. First, needs are the intermediary between individual and the surrounding environment. And needs played a role in the link between people and the environment. Secondly, human needs are the basic of social organization system. It promotes cluster and group's formation. Thirdly, human needs are the impetus of class formation and class struggle. The fifth part, we evaluate Sartre's human needs in Marx's perspective. We can indicate Sartre's human needs theory of the inheritance of Marx's human needs theory, and analysis the difference between them, so as to achieve a comprehensive assessment of Sartre's human needs theory, correctly grasp Sartre's idea. |
