The Southward Policy reflected the close relationship between Taiwan and Southeast Asian nations in the area of economy, politics, culture and so on. The invested relationship between Taiwan and Philippines was a typical case of these kinds of international communication. Based on narrating the origin and background for the rise of Southward Policy and its developed progress, this thesis mainly discussed the history of the invested relationship between Taiwan and Philippines. The writer not only displayed the present status and features of this relationship, but also analyzed the deep reasons that affected Taiwan's investment in Philippines and objectively evaluated the influence on the relations between these two districts because of this invested relationship. This article deeply analyzed the real factors that drove Taiwan to invest in Philippines during the period of Southward Policy by exerting the relative international relations theories and invested theories. The advanced experience and communicating skills originated from the invested relationship between Taiwan and Philippines will be contributed to strengthening further relations between Mainland of China and those nations of ASEAN.
