Watercolor painting plays a important role in the field of Chinese paintings.It is an art abroad and is extremely different from other kinds,with a unique formal language .It uses water as a medium to embellish various colors in paintings ,accordingly creating a vacant,fluent and transparent artistic effect.Any painting works is the production of combining its artistic form itself with the painter's personal feelings.Besides,art itself should have an individuality,whose external manifestations just is the materialization of the artists` personal feelings.Therefore,the two aspects are complementary and inseparable to same extent.This thesis first introductions the origin of the subject,contents,purpose,and significance of study,as well as researching methods and references.Chapter two focus on the formation and development of watercolor painting,interprets the absorption to other kind painting and drawing of this abroad art form.Moreover,give a full comprehension the national characteristic after it was introduced into China .Chapter three states the construction elements of watercolor painting's form language,that is the characteristics of the watercolor painting's form language.The author illustrates the definition of the form and form language,summarizing the characteristics of watercolor including clear water , flowing color ,fantastic calligraphic,and textures。Under the impact of modern art,the author inquiries a kind of form language that could improve self-cultivation and expresses personal- emotions,and explores that that the constantly innovation of watercolor painting's form language .Chapter four through the author gives the definition of emotional,analyzed the factors that influenced the emotional expression in painting,and get to know personal form from the artists` works and aesthetic tendency from emotional expression.
