Speech production has developed a lot in this field, the development can embodied two aspects, one is focus on the speech production of mother tongue, mainly focus on two kinds of model (Dell Model and Levelt Model). Another one is focus on the researches of speech production. The second one contributes a lot. Listening, speaking, reading, writing are four basic skills in English. Speaking and writing are productive skills in it. They can reflect the ability of learner use language. Under the influences of modern quality education, the comprehensive ability of learners'pays more and more emphasis. This thesis based on the psychology and cognitive model, and use it in the English writing teaching, from the revised model, analyzed it in English writing teaching, at the same time, analyzed this new model in details in English writingThe thesis is divided into five parts. First part is the introduction of the research history of speech production, which is mainly from the aspects of foreign and domestic status quo and the methods of the research. The speech production research can be traced back to 1980s; Kormos divided it into two categories, one is based on Dell's activate theory, another one is based on Levelt's module theory. These theses based on the history of explore speech production, introduce systematically from the perspective of psycholinguistics and applied linguistics.Secondly, analyzed the processes mentioned in this thesis. Mainly analyze the process of cognitive and psychology of speech production, introduce the blueprint of speech production of Levelt, and listed theory of speech production, compared with discourse production theory. At the same time, I choose some models of speech production to analyze, the results show that the relation among them are complement.Thirdly, the thesis analyzed the college English writing. Mainly from writing system, writing processes and problems in the process, and about the problems exists in the process of writing can be divided, grammar, lexical applied, discourse coherence and cultural differences. Then proposed Flower and Hayes model, use this model in English writing, from the perspective of model analyze the problems caused in the process of writing, and some problems which are might be avoided.Fourth, proposed psychology and cognitive model in English writing, based on Flower and Hayes model, revised it and then create my new model, then apply it into English writing teaching, lists some advantages of this model, i.e. add the translation process, this can bring benefits to students who are influenced by cultural differences while translating sentences. This new model can be used in English writing teaching, analyzed the effective of discourse production from a deeper level.Finally, conclude the problems might be produce in this model, the limitations and suggestions in further research.
