But with the loss of traditional culture, the alienation of traditional painting spirit and springing of modern cultural spirit, traditional painting is experiencing embarrassment and confusion.. For art colleges and universities, acting as the inheritors and developers, the teaching orientation of art form and philosophy has become a the key to future development for traditional painting . How to locate traditional literati spirit; how to combine traditional literary concept and the spirit of the age; how to make traditional artistic spirit practical , is what we need to discuss. We will comprehensively, objectively analyze , study the background of traditional art forms and artistic concept, and deal with the situation of literati painting in the contemporary cultural environment . Consequently, We should confirm teaching goals, establish the development direction, set up art teaching and development mode in line with the spirit of the times and the law of art development ."Traditional Chinese painting advances with the times"is the incisive summary by Qing Dynasty painter Shi Tao in his artistic practice . His painting philosophy has always been advocated for later artists in the art practice and innovation. However ,many colleges and universities have still followed the traditional teaching model, to a large extent, which pays more attention to the traditional painting techniques and treats the traditional literati thought as the only artistic pursuit and soul, ignoring contemporary cultural background. Moreover, now we only stay in the skill level of the traditional painting, believing that the mastery of the traditional painting forms is all of the traditional art, mastery of the traditional painting techniques inherits the painting culture spirit and understanding of some traditional literati spirits means the whole spiritual philosophy and realm. We have formed superficial art teaching. In the evaluation of works, we tend to be"good painting", rather than"high realm". Therefore, in the face of students'individualized pursuit of art and diverse art development situation in the future , teaching location of traditional literati thought is very important because we should not only base ourselves on the traditional painting forms but also on the innovation and sentiment of literator in the contemporary age and literati spirit expression.Nowadays, we face the loss of traditional culture, abnormal development of traditional painting and the impact of foreign culture and opposition of modern aesthetics and the traditional aesthetics. To deal with these obstacles, we can set up a special culture inheritance mechanism, establish a complete system of the traditional culture that thoroughly joint the traditional art and traditional culture, to restore the"blood relationship"of traditional art forms and the culture. In addition, we can also form a protective inheritance mechanism, reform the contemporary education curriculum, and increase ancient Chinese literature, to restore the support of traditional art form and culture, draw back contemporary aesthetics, make the modern aesthetics and the traditional aesthetic coexist.We can take a rational and objective attitude toward the location of traditional painting philosophy and forms, which will be positioned in its traditional level. While maintaining the traditional literati painting, traditional and contemporary art should be equally introduced and learned.
