The disaster memorials appeared in the middle and end of Western Han Dynasty became a special community cultural phenomenon.This paper elaborates on the rise and prosperity of the disaster memorial,and discusses its thought value and the characteristics of the art.My opinion in this article is that there are many origins of disaster memorial,including Chinese disaster and adnormal phenomenon tradition in the old times,the vigorous development of the theory,the loose written atmosphere and the frequency of disaster and adnormal phenomenon in the Han Dynasty.Though there are seldome outstanding works in the disaster memorials,it owns some thought value that should be approved.For example,it states profound political philosophy, reflectes the time mainstream culture——the Confucianism and the Catastrophist, eulogizes the justice, contributes the realization of the pure brightness political,it also reflects patriotism of Han people.The paper also elaborates the artistic feature of the disaster memorials.My opinion is that though it has fantastic contents,it affects elegant mellow meteorology and infrequent straight attitude.?They are worth affirmative.At last,the paper disusses the profits from the significance of the disaster memorials.
