Warring Words Segmentation Polysyllabic Words Are Measured

<Zhan guo ce> is a works that records the policies and speeches of the canvassers living in the Warring States period. The language in this book is vivid and close to the oral words. Therefore, it has been an important document to study the words and phrases of the Warring States period.This paper is about splitting the words and doing some exact study for the book < Zhan guo ce >. From this study, we attempt to show the main face of polysyllabic words in the Warring States period.This paper is composed of four parts. The first part is the preface, which introduced several points, including the reason why we chose this title, the content and version of the book < Zhan guo ce >, and its current study status, as well as the purpose, meaning, tough points of this paper and the corresponding solutions. The second part is the processes of segmentation of words on the book < Zhan guo ce>, divided into two parts. One is about the standard of the word segmentation, where we integrate previous research results, and then explore a proper and concrete standard to carry out the specific word segmentation. And the other one gives a brief analysis of words used in the book < Zhan guo ce > and lists these analyzed words as the appendix with the types and occurrence frequency of the words .The third part is the study of polysyllabic words applied in the book of < Zhan guo ce >, which is also consisted by two parts. One is on the pure polysyllabic words, relatively rare and simple. And the other is complex polysyllabic words, in which the polyphony nouns, verbs and adjectives were analyzed structurally; in addition, the other types of polysyllabic words have also been studied in the corresponding research methods, striving to make a detailed description and analysis. The last part is the conclusion and expectation for our work.
