This paper has researched oil painting phenomenon that had appeared in the Ming–Qing dynasties, and western paintings as the basic lines which transmitted by missionary, and preliminary to consider this period oil painting phenomenon's characteristic of the cultural identity. Western paintings extending in china is also the western learning was progressively extending to the east at modern china history.
