Study On Hui Nationality Traditional Morality Of Jingmen Region In Hubei

Traditional morality plays an important role in Muslim masses, which can be observed from their folk customs and daily habits. It is capable of inspiring the public to carry out moral obligation. The population of Jingmen in Hubei is comprised predominantly of Han nationality, and it is a typical region where minority nationalities live together or in scattered communities. So it is of typical sense to study the Muslim traditional morality in this region. The author focuses on the status of Muslim traditional morality in Jingmen region, its characteristics, and the extent to which it has been influenced by Han ethnic group--what are kept from generation to generation and what have been changed. This paper first describes the history and present situation of Muslim traditional morality in Jingmen region, and then presents its specific performance and characteristics. In the end, the author puts forwards the significance of promoting minority traditional morality.
