| Nieh YuenDai was a famous modern entrepreneur, and he was also known by the world for his religious complex. He changed his religious belief from Christianism to Buddhism, which is called conversion in sociology. Currently few concern is paid on Nieh YuenDai's change of religious faith as well as the situation of modern conversion. Based on the abundant original material got from field work, this essay aims to study the causes of Nieh YuenDai's conversion and the corresponding influences to him. Theories of history, economics, sociology of religion, and psychology of religion are applied in the thesis.
