Self-concept is a core part of the personality, and it's associated with most of the psychological function. It has the regulation and function of guiding human behavior. The self-concept was confirmed by extensive research. It can be changed and be improved in the course of psychotherapy, and it's closely related to mental health.Personality on job performance of employees has been widely confirmed. The research above provides a theoretical basis for selection of new members. It is generally believed that personality is stable, the tendency of personality is not easy to change. The old saying goes: "A fox mettle difficult to move." So the research of finding ways to upgrade and improve the performance of employees by changeing and improving personality is not deep enough. However, when we maintain the overall style of personality. The impact of certain factors of personality can be changed and optimized.It can regulate and guide human behavior. As self-concept is one of the core personality variables, if we can verify the significant relationship between self-concept and job performance, we can find the methods to improve job performance through the improvement of self-concept. Therefore, we propose that self-concept could significantly predict job performance, and the study confirmed that assumption. On this basis, the study also explored the factors which effect employees' self-concept and job performance, then we can find a viable entry point for improving employees' self-concept and job performance.In this study,700 copies of questionnaires were recovered,524 copies of which are effective.There are 188 employees work in a large private enterprise of Beijing. There are 121 employees who work in several small businesses which all from a office building. There are 83 employees from a number of foreign or joint ventures in both Harbin and Beijing.There are 132 employees from a number of state-owned company in Harbin.This study confirmed that self-concept and job performance of employees will be different by the different type of business, gender, age, job level,department. And in some dimensions those change are significant. From the large macro-economic environment changes to the small business sector difference will all affect employees' self-concept and job performance level.Self-concept which is an important variable in the system of personality was proved that it has significant correlation with job performance of employees, and they both were significant predictors for each other. Through in-depth analysis of the findings, we find the ways to make self-concept more perfect and improve the employees' performance in these methods:Provide employees with self-awareness theme, family and work balance theme, the skills of of the communication between the family members to improve significantly affect job performance of self-identity, self-action, family self, psychological self by group psychological counseling or other forms of psychological training. The companies can also provide Healthy staff welfare, health classes fitness sites and health seminars to help employees improve their physical self level.Construct the dedicated type of business cultural environment; help employees improve their interpersonal skills; provide good benefits. Those mays will improve self-concept, thus achieve a good level of job performance, then through good job performance communication and feedback, we can achieve the employees and business win-win virtuous circle.
