We could find out two phenomena from the status of conceptual photography: first, a lot of photographs just like some movie still; Second, many conceptual photographers had film-making experience. From this phenomenon, tracing the source, we find out the root cause lines in the fact that The film and the photography share a common gene of technology. This gene has influenced the development and direction of the film and photography.The technology should include three levels: technical materials, the means of controlling technical materials, the philosophical abstraction. On the photography and film, the three technical levels correspond to: a tool, a language and a result of social media. The link between photography and film is comprehensive and multi-level. Therefore, the development of photography is sure to be influenced by movies. This effect reflected especially to the conceptual photography, because the conceptual photography is experimental and openness.Because of the link about technology, the conceptual photography shows two points on photography cinematic. One is the creative procedure, another is the exhibiting. Procedure of making a conceptual photography refers to three characteristics: the director is the core of the crew; division of labor; including three stages. These three characteristics are similar with making a film. There are two method of showing a conceptual photo: one is showing as sequence, the other is showing in light boxes. The two method of exhibiting are similar with film.In short, the technical link between conceptual photography and film, as a tool, as a language and as a social media, make the conceptual photography to form a film. The evidences of artistic phenomena are two: a lot of photographs just like some movie still; many conceptual photographers had film-making experience. The evidences of artistic behavior are two: the creative procedure and the method of exhibiting.
