Problem Analysis In Professional Translation And Translation Strategies In Chinese-english Translation

In the context of China's economic fast growth and more international exchanges, the growing demands for high-level,pragmatic translators and interprets cannot be met by traditional translation and interpretation education focusing on the fields of literature or theory. Although professional translation and interpretation, or non-literature translation and interpretation, has an increasingly growing share in the market, the service quality is far from satisfactory. In respond, the program MTI, Master of Translation and Interpretation, is launched to bridge the gap.The paper will discuss translation strategies in translation process and analyze why and how to adopt proper strategies in different stages in translation process. The translation strategies herein include macro and micro translation strategies. In this paper, translation cases will be analyzed to help explain translation strategies. The author hopes to share experience with other translator and contribute to the improvement of MTI program.
