| The drama written by Anton Chekhov, the Russian writer, are put on stage all around the world enduringly because of the insight into the actualities and its unique style. For more than one hundred years, artists and scholars have been lucubrating and discussing Chekhov's plays. This paper started with the context of the era when Chekhov creating his scripts. First, analyzing the relationship between the drama and the spirit of the time, besides, the special place it take in the history of Theatre, both reduce Chekhov to depict life as some disintegration in his plays. Afterwards, research how he presented the double life on the stage, normal for the surface and disintegrate inside. We divided the issue into three sub problems: things happened to verbal behavior, about spirituality and ideality, and the theme of death and violence. Finally,go into the heart of Chekhov's plays: where the hope is in a life of disintegration, through analyzing the underlying mind of the scripts, such as, the faith of labor, love and sacrifice, and so on. We could see that Chekhov succeed in transcending hopelessness by the creative work. |
