The aim of the teaching theory and teaching practice is made the students master the knowledge and skills which they learned. The goals of new round of reform in English Teaching focus on training students' English skills as well as improving their communicative competence. Indeed, improve teaching efficiency, it is necessary to pay attention to the structure and characteristics of the students' brains when they are learning; the teachers should use the teaching strategies in classroom pertinently. With the progress of brain research, the use of brain science research and theory to guide the teaching become a hot research as well as the key.In order to offer useful suggestions and countermeasures for carrying out the brain-based teaching, this study was built on the basis of collecting, summarizing the brain research and its findings and application to teaching, investigated the public English teaching in H university, defined Brain-based teaching strategies deeply.This study has three aspects:Firstly, the reference research, sorted out all aspects of brain scientific research of the whole brain theory, the emotional brain theory, neural plasticity and brain and music, sports and brain separately, laid the theoretical foundation for this study, defined the Brain-based teaching strategies, and summarized the characteristics as well as composition of brain-based teaching strategies. Secondly, Empirical Study, set college English teachers and students as the research object, then investigated the status of English teaching strategies from the views of brain-based teaching by questionnaires. Thirdly, strategy research, research on the analysis results with practice in teaching. As for improving teaching efficiency, the study illustrated five aspects as follows, change the traditional concept of education; create a favorable and relaxed teaching environment; advocate combination the latest brain science research and teaching practice; focus on training the quality of teacher and enhance the ability to apply brain science strategy; help teachers comprehend strategies of brain-based teaching. This study plays a guideline role on upgrading teachers' teaching abilities of application the brain science strategies in classroom, as well as improving English teaching efficiency.
