In the acception, different images of Beauvoir causes different concern, and various historical stages present different characteristics.Looking at Beauvoir's nearly three decades travel history in China,in the mid-80s of 20th century,Beauvoir is Introduced as identity of existentialist writers, In this phase, the studies appeared fragmented,but some research articles which had high quality still existed. Into 90 years of 20th century her novels have a complete Chinese translation, other than many review articles have not yet been translated, The study of this phase have begun to enter the research phase, and multi-dimensional in-depth research results began to appear. Since the new century, not only the original book has a new translation, but also the works which did not receive adequate attention has begun to attract the attention of the translator, the research has not only made much progress in both the quantity and the quality, but also explored its range and showed some synthetic features. As a pioneer of feminist cultural Beauvoir's "The Second Sex" landed Mainland China in the 80 years, in the late 90's the whole Chinese translation of the Second Sex was published, and it was republished in the new century. The Second Sex was researched in many content areas, such as philosophy,feminist thought, contemporary meaning and so on. In the process of her acceptance in Chin, Beauvoir's literary works is neglected the women's culture ideology expressed by "The Second Sex" opens the growth of feminism in China.In short, translation of Beauvoir's works is going to rich and complete, but it is still far from fully. There are also many essays, review articles and philosophies have not been translated. The studies of Beauvoir in China has been developed from the perceptual explanation stage to the professional one, but meanwhile we should have a clear mind that there is still a long way for us to go, compared with the achievements of other foreign county researchers in this field. Consequently it should be regarded as one of the significant programmers which can promote the transformation and prosperity of the contemporary literature of China. |
