Research On "24 Friends" Responding Poetry

The Xi Jin Dynasty played a connecting and carrying-on role in the whole history of China's literature, creating numerous valuable writers and works, which has drown comprehensive attention in educational circles. Among these researches, the"24 Friends"group has developed as a unique phenomenon, but specialized writings were still rare.Jia Mi was grandson of Jia Chong, who had already dead, and nephew of Empress Jia. He called up these 24 people, including people from wealthy and influential clan and famous writers. Because of the special politic status of Jia Mi,"24 friends"group always got moral criticism.Anyway, we think the idea that taking"24 friends"as a sheer literature group or a political faction were both improper. Only if we combine these two aspects, could we get objective evaluation.Under the special historical background, relationship between its members is delicate and complex. Among which, there are relationships between superior and subordinate, brothers and intimates. According to this, we divided it into three groups: ones between political partners, relative and friends. Based on this, those responding poetries between members were all valuable, both to the general creation of this group, the Xi Jin Dynasty and the whole literature history of China.Interaction and responding are essential to communication between human. For men of letters, responding letters could help them communicate, express self-awareness, and thus realize sense of achievement and gratification.At any time before or after creation, the aim to seek social intercourse was unprecedented by other form of literature. During our research, in the help of definition of courtesy, many literature phenomenon can get appropriate explanation.Considering the status of subject and the object, courtesy was a suitable principle in communication, which could play a coordinating function in verbal communication. Using courtesy, we could make some classification and summary to"24 friends"responding poetries and search out the promoting function in creation of men of letters in social and literature origin. What's more, through text analysis, we also intend to carry out a theoretical discussion of linguistic phenomenon.During our text analysis, we could get a creating phenomenon: the object and subject of creation were completely in conformity with their communicative status. Thus, these principles related to courtesy were all applicable in"24 friends"responding poetries. However, what's the foundational reason in its operation? In other words, what has played a promoting role in its application? And we think that the tradition of rites and music, in combination with extraction and style of study of leading people have both made some influence.And finally, we found that from the angle of literature, or the responding tradition,"24 friends"responding poetries all played an unprecedented role.From the angle of literature, all types of"24 friends"responding poetries all show the feeling of sincerity. According to the communicative aims for different functions and environment, men of letters tried to deliver their emotion through direct or indirect approaches. In order to convey better performance, responding poetries usually use the form of four or five characters.The tradition of responding generates from Qin Dynasty, and was handed to Xi Jin Dynasty, so it has inevitably been influenced by previous dynasties. Under the influence of rites and music,"24 friends"responding poetries have promoted the development of China's literature, at the same time, restrained and regulated its subsequent evolution.
