| Yan Jidao is an important Ci poet in North Song Dynasty. He was widely esteemed along with Yan Shu, his renowned father, and even surpassed his father in accomplishment. Predecessors have done a great many researches in Yan Jidao's life, friends, ideologies, as well as his Ci poetry, which contribute significantly to the artistic appreciation of his works. But little has been digged into concerning his radiant style, which is distinct from his father's elegant style. If Yan Shu's Ci poetry is compared to peony, then Yan Jidao's Ci poetry can be crowned as Chinese rose. Different from peony's grace and regal quality, Chinese rose shows overwhelming delicacy with charmingly bright color. It fully deserves the appraisal of"luxurious"which is given by people who love it. As for researches about Yan Jidao, people have focused only on his skin-deep characteristics but not the profound reasons which caused the formation of his ideology. This thesis aims to probe into both Yan Jidao's luxurious writing style and his noble personality in detail on basis of the predecessors'researches. In the first section, the author will elaborate the specific luxurious feature from aspects of vivid and bright color of Yan Jidao's Ci poetry, refined language, and elegant charm. In the second section, the author mainly analyzes Jan Jidao's aristocratic ideology and the reason of its formation. Starting from his proud and na?ve character, the author makes comparisons between him and the persons with similar character or background so as to deduce the formation of his ideology and the core of his emotion in depth. |
