Wang Anyi is an evergreen tree on the contemporary literary world. In her course of three decades of writing, she has written more than 500 million words to work. Her works have wide range of subjects, many kinds of styles, and obvious stages, involv-ing almost all the literary trends, since the new period. The novels about the literary roots of literature and women have made remarkable achievements. There is strong sense of wandering in Wang Anyi's novels. Both the external behavior and inner psychology of the persons in her novels are adrift. Wandering has become mental qualities of Wang Anyi. She is always attempting to resolve the human survival difficult. She does not only tell us everyone is drift, but also try to find the way of salvation for the wandering souls to ease the pain of helplessness and hopelessness on the way to wandering. Wang Anyi hopes to redeem the human fate of wandering with love, marriage, root and roots. But all the ways are helpless. The drift fate can not be changed. This article is divided into three chapters to devote Wang Anyi's wandering consciousness. The First Chapter, Wandering without love. Wang Anyi wrote all the levels of love involving the pure love, the tempestuous desire and prosaic marriage. She wants to find a home with love for insecure women, who have run a long way for love and need a home. However, they are eventually abandoned by love. Love isn't the bank that be parked in. They will continue to wander on the finding-home road. The helpless hearts and the love without finality doomed to the fate of their wandering. The way of saving the fate of wandering with love is also invalidated. The Second Chapter, Wandering without roots. Wang Anyi struggles to find the family and culture roots, so that they can lighten the sense of helplessness and wandering. But at last we find our ancestors were drift, too. We have to be into deeper wandering. The "benevolence" of Confucianism and the nothing spirit of Taoist philosophy are the deepest roots of our national culture, which can't rejuvenate the ancient China. The roots of the national culture are weak. We lost the cultural and spiritual religion. So cultural and spiritual wandering is doomed. The Third Chapter:Wandering of the variable fate. Wang Anyi is very interesting in the theme of fate. The fate of human is mysterious and changeable. Nobody can grasp their own destiny. The characters of the novels have changed from fighting against fate to identifying with fate. Drift persons can't know which place they come from and where they go. They can't control their own way forward. There seems to be an invisible force called fate to control our life. No grasping the fate generates the eternal and deep wandering.
