The culture of Chu, one of the warring states, is a vital part of the time-honoured Chinese culture backing to five thousand years ago, which has always been studied profoundly and deeply by the researchers.The study of the system of offering sacrifices to Gods or ancestors in the numerous,complicated and disorderly culture of Chu is an important trend, for it's the indispensable breach for us to study the social system,cultural background and customs of the period.As everyone knows, the characters are the most important tools and vehicles to study the extensive knowledged ancient Chinese culture. So, this paper relyes on the unearthed bamboo slips, which are usd for writing on in antiquity, to introduce the relavent aspects of the system of offering sacrifices to Gods or ancestors systematically, on the basis of putting the system as its direction, and the classifying and sorting of the ancient Chinese characters.This paper are composed of three chapters. The first is the introduction, to give a brief account of the research condition of the system showed on the bamboo slips, the six batches of the bamboo slips relavent to my study, and the method and meaning of my research. The second about the objective contents of the system of offering sacrifices to gods or ancestors carved on the bamboo slips, including the name,the object,the way,the instrument and the goods. The third is the summary, to summarize the distinguishing feature of the system briefly.
