The word, mook, is the combination of words"magazine"and"book", which identifies its characters just between magazines and books. Mooks play an attractive role in the market nowadays as an innovative publication. Their special forms are more and more widely accepted by readers, especially by young generations. With the advent of the fast-pace and vast-volume information era, mooks are more suitable for modern people, which obtain the advantages of both magazine and book design. And they also have influence on the aesthetic appetite of readers. This paper will interpret the design pattern of mooks which is quite different from magazines and books. This kind of new pattern expresses ideas in mooks themselves and also has impact on the design environment.What design of mooks to the theory of design is just like what a drop of water to a whole ocean.
