Meanwhile, the Olympic mascots as an Olympic intellectual property rights has been written into the "Olympic Charter" credited with the legal effect. Therefore, research on the mascot of the Olympic Games has a very important theoretical and practical significance. Based on such research methods as historical research, literature, case studies, interviews, the following conclusions have been drawn in this research.Firstly, the Olympic mascot, short for the mascot of the Olympic Games, as one of kinds of mascots, is a form of the Olympic Games mascots generated in the Olympic Games, is regarded as a combination of the Olympic cultural activities and mascot cultural. Olympic mascots include the Summer Olympic mascots and mascot of the Winter Olympic Games, belonging to the Games in their respective nature of the decision.Secondly, this study is based on the historical evolution of design and value of the Olympic mascots, three stages has been divided into: the first stage: the initial stage of the Olympic Games mascot (1968-1972); The second stage: the development phase of the Olympic mascots (1973-1991); The third stage: Olympic mascots for mature innovation phase (1992 - present).Thirdly, Olympic mascot design manifested in the history of evolution: Quantitatively, from the beginning to the later more than a single, this change is at the beginning of the third stage; Constructed from the shape, the first stage of the Olympic Games mascots have no other additions, from the second stage almost every mascot is added Olympic rings, marking the beginning to mature specification of the Olympic mascots.
