The thesis gives a specific definition to Chinese neorealism movies, and lists the features and limitations on the research to this kind of movies, at the same time, try to analyze the words in the neorealism movies in the light of power.The thesis will show four groups of authorities: authorities between male and female, urban and suburban areas, the poor and the rich, individuals and groups, to analyze what they tell us and what is the society relationship reflected in them.Firstly, the power between male and female. This thesis pays more attentions on the three aspects: society power, Power on vision , power on sex. Secondly, the power between urban and suburban areas. The thesis reveals their differences on the power by analyzing the control and damage that the urban gives to the suburban. Thirdly, the power between the poor and the rich. The thesis analyzing the power by the difference between the rich and the poor's minds and action. At last, the power between the group and the individual. This thesis shows the differences of the power by analyzing the ways that how the group control the individual.It seems that the four groups of relationship on power referred above are greatly different; in fact, there is close connection among them. In some certain, it is very difficult to completely distinguish them; however, the thesis tries to probe into the connection in order that it is easier to analyze the relationships on power. Besides, the thesis takes a common analysis to Chinese neorealism movies according to the implied meaning from power of persons in different society roles.As the successor of reality and tradition, Chinese neorealism movies do not only make the significance of arts clear, but also show us the relationship on power in the society more, while the movies themselves confront with the"group", greatly popular formalism movies representing the"individual"in the movie field.
