Indians has a long history of emigrating and a large number of Indians go abroad. According to statistics, the number of the emigrating population worldwide now totals more than 2000 million. The United States is a big country of immigrants, and there are many hundreds of thousands of legal immigration each year. Among the Asian immigrants, there are a large proportion of Indians, and some people think that the number of Indians in the United States has reached 170 million. In the United States, the total number of immigrants has been able to row in the third place, after Mexicans and Chinese. Indian immigrants generally have higher level of education, of whom have more than a degree. The level of education determines the occupational categories and income groups. So they can engage in higher income occupations in the United States. The household income of American Indian is also higher than the average level of many other ethnic immigrants. American Indians in the field of IT and other high-tech achievements can not be underestimated, which benefits the domestic software industry in India. The economic base determines the superstructure. The economic success of Indian immigrants in the United States makes their political, cultural and other fields have begun to perk up. American Indian immigrants maintain their unique traditional culture, and thus form some certain impacts. Their second-generation immigrants well adapt to the mainstream American culture, and meanwhile have a deep sense of identity of their native countries. They are discriminated by part of the local people in the United States, so they keep up racial lines, while the experience of living in two countries let them form a transnational sentiment. Many Indians have deep feelings with their home country, and they intend to return home to use their power to make various contributions to the development of the country. The government of India is also increasing emphasis on the positive role of overseas Indians on the development of the Indian economy, and began to develop a variety of measures to attract Indians to return home and create a lot of their facilities. As the important link between the United States and India, American Indians the India-US relations played a significant positive part in the India-US relations.
