The Conscience Of The Theory In The Field Of Phenomenology

Conscience is a comparatively complex problem in the history of western philosophy. Although there are several perspectives of analysis on conscience for western scholars, they are more related to ethics, theology, psychology when we look back on history of western philosophy. Conscience is rarely discussed from the phenomenological point of view to western scholars. Phenomenology had produced another possibility of probing conscience. There are three dimensions of discussing conscience from phenomenological view: the first level is based on intentionality; the second is based on the level of value; the third is based on the existentiell level. No matter what theory of conscience is like, the scholars'aim is to impel the problem to a deeper level, and it is same to me,letting the covered truth be unfolded. I want to give conscience a new understanding and a new perspective from phenomenological analyzing, thus open our horizon.The first part of this paper is the history of concept of conscience, mainly the history of Western philosophy of conscience.First, it is the concept of conscience of ancient Greek times, then the medieval theological concept of conscience.The end is the concept of modern times. This part mainly discuss the concept of conscience in history so as to establish the conceptual basis for in-depth investigation.The second part of my research is based on the field of phenomenology of conscience, which is the main part of my thesis.I first carried out the method of Husserl's intentionality of conscience.This part is about Husserl's logic investigation and General introduction to a pure phenomenology. In the sense of intentional analysis, we can get inspiration about conscience.In this paper, I think conscience is a mode of consciousness, so the method of analysing can be applied to conscience.Next, I will investigate Scheler's conscience theory, particularly the theory of conscience in his der Formalismus in der Ethik und die materiale wertethik,which could provide us a lot of literature. We could understand how did he use the method of phenomenology for conscience from value level. This section will be researched under the field of phenomenology's ontology level.Finally, I would expatiate on the view of the phenomenon of conscience in Heidegger's famous work Being and Time ,which would be particularly addressed. I think Heidegger's analysis to conscience is most significant to the conscience itself, because he authentically put the conscience into the most real situation, the most primordial level and the most fundamental understanding.The point which Heidegger is different from another two author is that he neither treat the conscience as a understanding way of intentionality nor as an value ontology dimension, but a manner of Dasein.The third part is contrasting these author's thought, from which we can get provocation. I want to point that it is reasonable and profound to view conscience from phenomenology.If we understand it for a generative original experience pointing to the ultimate concern, we can genuinely enter into conscience itself. No matter what the nature and function of conscience is, it is impossible to get the suitable understanding of the real conscience before the premise is fully discussed.Therefore, we should view conscience from the Horizon of the phenomenology.The fourth part is the conclusion: I suggest that it is appropriate to understand conscience from a phenomenological perspective for us.Conscience originated from phenonmenolgy has opened a new possibility, which is just as Moses led his people get out from Egypt.We could face a vast field and we could continue farming and cultivating in this field, geting more roads and causing more results. No matter which problem is, we could acquire more development and discovery with scientific spirit. The reason of the possiblity of phenomenology of conscience is which can be understood in this sphere, and then we can get the evident vision of the most fundamental problem from this area.
