| The Tang Dynasty and Sui Dynasty were the significant period of artistic development of the China ancient musical dance, and also were the critical development period of artistic of China ancient musical instruments. Various palace musical instruments were used for royal fete. At the same time, instrumental ensemble and solo were brought up, which enriched the performances of the Sui D-and Tang D-.Sogdian which lived in Zaravshan river valley was a nation in business and was found on the Silk Road. By business Sogdian promoted contact on economy and culture between orient and occident and set up a bridge for agricultural civilization and nomadic civilization, eastern civilization and western civilization. They moved away several places and mixed with other nations. Some nowadays nations derive from Sogdian. Today, although Sogdian's language has disappeared almost and Sogdian has become a historical substantive, their achievement is indelible.In the dissertation, Sogdian's musical instruments,instrument preparation and instrumental group as research objects-especially AN's music and KANG's music as research objects-combined with historic data and Sogdian's grave found in Xi'an Shanxi province compared different instruments of Sogdian nation musical groups in detail revealing Sogdian's role in development of the Tang's instruments and dance comprehensively. Article use the history, archeology, philology, iconography, ethnography and other humanities subject of knowledge, combining musical instruments of music Musicological morphology and ethnomusicology research methods to study it.That studying China music, especially studying contact between ancient Chinese nations will make a strong and positive impact on development and inheritance of Chinese music. Other study of history primarily focused on HAN BOOK and ancient HUA and XIA music. In fact, ancient Chinese music developed from the creation and mixing of many nations. So author expects that personal investigation can enrich the data and Sogdian music can be considered more. The dissertation includes four chapters.Sogdian culture of music and dance is discribed in Chapter one, which contents studying status of Sogdian nation and Sogdian's impact in history.Chapter two gives the research of Sogdian instruments.In this chapter KANG's and AN's instrumentions are studied respectively, combined with the musical instruments and dance found in Sogdian grave in Xi'an.Chapter three introduces the development of HU and SU music in the Sui D- and Tang-D by history data and new musical instrumentions found in Xi'an grave.Chapter four is the dissertation's conclusion summarizing the first three chapters and studying the Sogdian instruments of Tang-D further, pointing out the contact of Zhongyuan music and Hu music. |
