Back in the late Tang Dynasty, Liao Dynasty's predecessor--Khitan Khanate has made its geographical scope extend to the Korean Peninsula belonged to the Andong Duhufu (安东都护府) in Tang Dynasty dominating the eastern areas in Liaoning, and ts eastern border extended to the sea. Liao Dynasty being the product of Khanate'changing regimes, so the Liaoning'eastern areas in the north of the Datong River belonged to local territory of Khitan Empire. The management of the early Liao Dynasty dominating the northern areas of Korean peninsula haven't been replaced by the'aggression'. In Sheng Zong Dynasty (圣宗朝), the relationship between war and peace both Liao Dynasty and Gao Li Dynasty had epoch-making milestone meaning in the history of relationships between Liao Dynasty and Gao Li Dynasty. During the period, the system established by both sides not only regulated and affected the overall appearance of subsequently the relationship between Liao Dynasty and Gao Li Dynasty, but also produced a wide range of profound effect in the ancient history of international relations.
