| In this paper, the total terpenes and triterpenic acid from loquat root and loquatleaf by ultrasonic-assisted extraction were determined and compared. The content ofursolic acid and oleanolic acid were determined by HPLC, while the flavone and totalphenol were determined by spectrophotometer method. The DPPH assay and FRAPassay was used to evaluate the antioxidant activity. The antimicroorganism activity ofextracts from the loquat root and loquat leaf was determined by oxford plateantibacterial experiment and the gradient dilution method. The main results were asfollows:The contents of total terpenes and triterpenic acid from the loquat phlorrhizin, loquat root xylem and loquat leaf had significant difference(P<0.05).The content oftotal terpenes in the loquat phlorrhizin was highest, but the content of triterpenic acidin the loquat leaf was highest. While both of the content of total terpenes andtriterpenic acid was lowest in the loquat root xylem. The contents of ursolic acid from the loquat leaf and loquat phlorrhizin werehigher than the contents of oleanolic acid. And the contents of ursolic acid andoleanolic acid from the loquat leaf were significant higher than those form loquatphlorrhizin. The content of antioxidant component of loquat leaf, loquat phlorrhizin andloquat root xylem were compared. The results showed that the content of flavonoidand total phenol from the loquat phlorrhizin were highest, while loquat root xylemwere lowest. The antioxidant activities were evaluated by DPPH method and FRAPmethod, the degree order of antioxidant activity was: loquat phlorrhizin> loquat rootxylem> loquat leaf. And the free radical scavenging activity or antioxidant activitywas significantly correlated with the contents of flavone or total phenol. The active ingredient from loquat phlorrhizin, loquat root xylem and loquat leafwere determined, the results indicated that there was little difference between them. All of them had flavonoid, phenol, saccharide, saponin and anthraquinone, and had noalkaloid. Compared with the potassium sorbate, the extracts of the three material hadstronger antimicroorganism activity, and the antimicroorganism activity of loquat leafwas stronger than loquat phlorrhizin and loquat root xylem. It indicated that the leafand the root of loquat had some antimicroorganism values. |
