Effect Of Maqianzi And Buzhong YIqi Decoction On Neuromuscular Junction Function In Creotoxin A Intoxicated Rats

Bakeground and Purpose:Botulinum toxin type A(BTXA) is one of the bacterial exotoxins produced by Clostridium Botulinum during its growth and ProPagation. BTXA is a Potent muscle relaxation, which blocks transmission and release of acetylcholine from presynaptic terrminals at neuromuscular junction.lt was used by Carruthers for treating hyperkinetic muscles of facial expression that result in lines and furrows in the 1920s.Since that time, the application of botulinum toxin have grown to treat face wrinkles which has gained popularity.During the application process of aesthetic surgery, because some reasons can cause botox poisoning,such as eyelid drooping,diplopia,eyelid rim poisoning symptoms. Althouge this side effects may be slowly disappears after in 3～6 months, but the recent effect will be impact, even producing medical disputes. For these complications or poisoning symptoms, having a few effects of integrated traditional and western medicine treatment method at present.This experiment what we study the clinical effects and mechanism of Maqianzi and Buzhong Yiqi decoction on neuromuscular junction function in creotoxin A intoxicated SD rats.Methods:SD rats were divided randomly into three groups:A(BTXA+Saline), B(BTXA+Saline+Chinese medicline), C (Saline group).0.25u of BTX A was injected into right gastrocnemius of the rats in both group A and group B. Rats in group C weren't treated with BTXA. MQZ andBZYQ were intervened by gastrogavage only in group B. the change of jitter value (mean consecutive difference, MCD) before and after medication of MQZ and BZYQ were observed by Stimu-single fiber electromyography (SFEMG) in groupA, B atl, 2,3,4weeks after in jection of BTXA and BZYQ. The examination of muscular power of right lower limb and the "Pedal test" the contrast will be carried out.The same in examination and analysis was carried out in group C, once and the results of the examination and analysis acted as normal range.Results:The clinical scores of the treatment group B was significantly decreased, compared with the group A, there was statistical significance (p<0.01). The results of mean consecutive difference(MCD) revealed the recovery of neuromuscular junctionin in four time point,the group B was markedly better than A group and there was statistical significance (p<0.01). "Pedal test" shous that the same results.Conclusion:MQZ and BZYQ could ease amyosthenia, thus could be used in creotoxin intoxication.
