Etiological Study Of Hand-foot-and-mouth Disease (HFMD) In 70 Cases From 2008-2010 In Zibo Area | | Posted on:2012-09-11 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:Y M Li | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2214330371951597 | Subject:Pathogen Biology | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | Objective:To clarify the etiological characteristic of HFMD in 70 cases hospitalized in Linzi District People's Hospital from 2008-2010.Methods:The specimens of dejecta and throat swab were cellected from the patients and total RNA was extracted from them immediately. The methods of fluorecent RT-PCR was performed to prob the RNAs of overall human entrovirus (HEV), new entrovirus 71 (EV71) and coxsackievirus A16 (CoxA16). Moreover, the data of WBC, ALT, AST, BUN, Cr, CRP, LDH, HBDH, CK, alpha detection of CK-MB were gathered and contrasted between the patients infected with EV71 and CoxA16.Results:EV71 (59.1%) was the major pathogen of HFMD in 2008; both EV71 and CoxA16 (50% respectively) were responsible for the HFMD prevalence in 2009; while in 2010, CoxA16 (50%) was the mainly epidemic strain. The positive detecting rate was higher from the specimen of dejecta (64.6%,42/65) than that of throat swab (26.7%,14/40) (p<0.01). EV71 (80%,16/20) had more probability to be deteced in the severe cases than the CoxA16 (20%,4/20) (p<0.01). Of all the other laboratory data, no significant difference was found between the cases who were infected with EV71 and CoxA16.Conclusion:EV17 and CoxA16 were the major pathogens for the prevalence of HFMD from 2008-2010 in Zibo area, of cause, the positve detecting rate between them can drife in different years. Severe cases were mainly infeced with EV71 The specimen of dejecta were more suitabl for HFMD laberatory digonisis by methods of fluorencet RT-PCR. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Hand-foot-and-mouth disease, EV71, CoxA16, Fluorecent RT-PCR | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
