Design And Implementation Of Firmware Upgrade For Spiral CT Based On Microcontroller

The characteristics of Multi-Slice Spiral CT (MSCT) are sequence helical scans, dimension scans, date Acquisition, speed imaging and top-quality image. Therefore, MSCT has become a necessary instrument for clinical diagnostics. Maintenance and upgrade of MSCT are important things, which affect reliability of MSCT. In this paper, the author expatiates on firmware upgrade of MSCT and in-system programming using an embedded Microcontroller. Because the modern CT has an enormous system and a complicated structure, it sets higher requirements for after-sales service of production. The service personnel use manual injection to update the firmware for most CT, which has a slow update rate, a complicated working procedure and a long duty cycle, so the author proposes a novel way for update. In this way, the designer can use remote and automatic upgrades, which can save time and improve the efficiency.In this paper, firstly, the architecture and Principle of JTAG are introduced in detail and the following works are carried on without it. Secondly, the design of the communication channel between Host and JTAG port is token account.Above all, the software achievements of controlling and running JTAG of same key technology are provided. The author introduces how to use the selected AVR to implement the logic function of interface card and particularly discusses the design method of internal function module. The paper also includes the simulation results and the debugging and the performance examination results of system, and the results show that the design can save cost, utilize resources more sufficiently. Further more, it can satisfy the system desire more compactly and more efficiently. This design is to be put into wide usage in MSCT data upgrade.
