ObjectiveTo detect the Tc17 cells and its main effect cytokine IL-17 in the peripheral blood of the NSCLC patients and healthy controls. In order to provide the earlier research for clinical prevention and evaluate the peripheral blood cells immunologic status of NSCLC patients.MethodCollecting 43 cases of peripheral blood of Non-small cell lung cancer patients in the Cardiothoracic surgery department of The First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow university from August 2010 to January 2011. Then Tc17 andCD4~+,CD8~+T cells ratio were detected by three-color flow cytometry and the corresponding assay of IL-17 concentration in the plasma with double antibody sandwich ELISA. The relationshiop between changes of the Tc17 cells proprotion and IL-17 concentration in the peripheral blood and clinical pathological features were statistical analyzed. Also set 15 healthy controls (10 male and 5 female).Results1. Compared with the control group, NSCLC patients with peripheral bloodCD4~+ T cells ratio decreased, but the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05), CD3~+, CD8~+ T cells was decreased significantly (P<0.05), while CD4/CD8 increased significantly (P<0.05).2. Compared with the control group, an increased proportion of Tc17 cells in CD8~+T cells was seen (P<0.05) , but no correlation with patients sex, tumor stage, tumor type, tumor differetiation and lymph node metastasis was found (P>0.05).3. Compared with the control group, the concentration of IL-17 showed no change in plasma (P>0.05). And also no correlation with patients sex, tumor stage, tumor type, tumor differetiation and lymph node metastasis was found (P>0.05).4. No relationship between the increased Tc17 cells in CD8~+T cells and the corresponding concentration IL-17 in NSCLC patients'peripheral blood was found(r=-0.25,P>0.05).Conclusionthe proportion of Tc17 cells in the peripheral blood of NSCLC patients is significantly increased, Which may be involved in the development of NSCLC, the further study will be needed for finding a new index to evaluate the celluar immune status of peripheral blood and the immunotherapy for NSCLC patients.
