ObjectiveThe purpose of this study was to evaluate clinical curative effect from core depression with porous tantalum implantation for early-stage avascular necrosis of femoral head.MethodFrom Sept 2006 to Jan 2009, 41 patients(48 hips) with early-stage avascular necrosis of femoral head in Jinan Military General Hospital were recruited in this study .There were 27 males (31 hips)and 14 females (17 hips)with an average age of 36.2 years (ranging from 22 to 54). Preoperative staging were performed using X-ray tomography and MRI according to ARCO, the result is that 18 hips belong ARCO cordⅠ, 30 hips belong ARCO cordⅡ.All the hips were divided into two groups by chance, one group accepted core depression with porous tantalum implantation, another accepted core depression with autogenous bone implantation. The flow-up was 24 months. We analyzed preoperative and postoperative general conditions, Harris scores and iconography characteristics.ResultThe flow-up ranged from 6·12·24 months in experimental group. There were evident advantages of core depression with porous tantalum implantation in improving ROM and preventing articular facet from collapsing。...
