Rhizoma Pinelliae is the dried tuber of araceae plants Pinellia ternata (Thunb.) Breit, it comes from Chinese Pharmacopoeia 2010(part one), which has thousands of years of medical history. Rhizoma Pinelliae was first contained in the "Shen Nong's Herbal" and was classified as low-grade, since when it was recorded in ancient herbal medicine,it is commonly used in Chinese traditional medicine.The pinelliae produced in Jingmen Hubei is regarded as a genuine medicine beacause of its high quality and abundant wild plant resources. In this thesis, we systematically compared the differences in chemical composition of pinellia pruduced in Jingmen which harvested in summer and fall,and established of a fingerprint by HPCE,in order to lay the foundation for the quality evaluation of pinellia pruduced in Jingmen. The paper also studies the processing technology of the pinelliae praeparatum per liquorem aluminis,we used steaming method instead of the traditional method,it provided a new way for traditional processing technology of pinelliae praeparatum per liquorem aluminis.This paper systematically compares the contents of polysaccharide,total Alkaloids, Inosine and guanosine,calcium oxalate and total organic acids by using UV,HPLC and potential back titration. Synthesizing all the determination results shows that the pinellia harvested in summer has a better quality than which harvested in autumn.We identified the arginine, alanine, valine and leucine by TLC, the results showed that the pinellia harvested in summer and fall showed the same colour spots in the corresponding position as the reference substance showed.We established a fingerprint for pinellia pruduced in Jingmen by HPCE method and calibrated 17 peaks with pretty peak separation, high similarity and strong reliability.We compared the HPCE fingerprints of pinellia produced in Xiahtao Zhengchang,Tianmen Tuoshi,Jingshan Yangfeng, Tianmen Wangchang and Tianmen Yuekou, the results showed that there was an obvious differences among the different places.In this paper,we chose steaming method instead of using the traditional processing methods to produce Rhizoma Pinelliae Praeparatum Per Liquorem Aluminis. Optimization the Qing Pinellia's steaming method conditions by orthogonal experimental using the total organic acids and water-soluble extract as the indexes.The results indicated that the new steaming method have reduced processing time and the processing steps and also greatly improved the content of active ingredients, reduced the content of the irritation.The steaming method changed the uncontrollable processing end,providing a new way for processing Qing Pinellia.
