| Objective:To investigate the insulin or insulin analogue dose and analyze the dose impacting factors of insulin pump treatment of type 2 diabetic patients.Methods: We reviewed the data of 740 type 2 diabetic patients who received insulin pump treatment. The insulin or insulin analogue dose and clinical characteristics were taken down and analyzed.Results: According to the level of FPG and PPG at discharge, patients were divided into targeted group (n=592) which was occupying 80.00%and not targeted group (n=148). The mean insulin pump total dose of targeted group was 43.29U/day, the insulin pump total dose per kg of body weight was 0.59U/day. The mean insulin pump basal dose of targeted group was 20.07U/day, occupying 46.36%, and the insulin pump basal dose per kg of body weight was 0.27U/day, while the bolus was 23.22U/day, occupying 53.64%, and the bolus per kg of body weight was 0.32U/day. There were significant difference in bolus, basal dose per kg body weigh, bolus of pre-breakfast, bolus of pre-breakfast per kg body weight,triglyceride and period of diabetes. According to the insulin pump total dose per kg of body weight, patients were divided into high and low dose group. The results showed significant difference in fasting plasma insulin, postprandial insulin, postprandial C-peptide, triglyceride, total cholesterol and period of diabetes between the two groups. Multiple Linear Regression Analysis showed that the average insulin pump total dose per kg of body weight was positively correlated with period of diabetes and HbA1c, while negatively correlated with BMI and postprandial C-peptide.Conclusion:1. The insulin pump total dose per kg of body weight of targeted group was 0.59U/day. The insulin pump basal dose per kg of body weight of targeted group was 0.27U/day, and the bolus per kg of body weight was 0.32U/day. The result was in support of China insulin pump clinical guideline.2. The insulin pump total dose per kg of body weight was positively correlated with period of diabetes and HbA1c, while negatively correlated with BMI and postprandial C-peptide. |
