Objectives: To analyse the changes on Class I deep bite, low angle malocclusion by using reverse curve of spee arch wires, together with Class II mechanics, vertical elastics in the posterior region in order to correct the overbite in the anterior region. As well as the enhancement in the lower third facial portion. In the later stages of treatment space closure was undertaken.Materials and Methods: In 2009 , a 23 years old female patient attended the Second Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University. She presented with an Angle's Class I Malocclusion, associated with a straight profile and a brachycephalic shaped face. Extraction of the four first bicuspids were done. Treatment was undertaken with the straight wire appliance (MBT prescription) , together with the reverse curve of spee arch wire, class II mechanics and vertical elastics in the posterior region were included for overbite control in the anterior segment. Results: Duration of the orthodontic treatment was 23 months. Noticeable overbite and overjet changes occurred during the course of treatment. The overbite and overjet shifted from III degree and II degree respectively to normal values. Clockwise rotation of the mandible lead to elongation of the lower third facial segement. Conclusion: Correction of low angle deep bite cases were successfully treated with reverse curve of spee arch wires and intermaxillary tractions. In the space closure stage of extraction sites , reverse curve of spee arch wires were highly effective to manage the overbite and the axial inclination of the incisors and molars .
