Objective: The purpose of the study was to observe the clinical features and diagnostic methods ofocular ischemic syndrome .Methods: Retrospectively analyze the clinical data of19 ischemia eyes in 17 patients. Received all the patients history inquiry. All patients took routine examination of ophthalmology and carotid artery CT angiography (CTA) examination and color Doppler flow imaging (CDFI) examination, And 18 eyes received fluorescein fundus angiography check. Enumeration data is demonstrated by percentage(%) and measurement data with mean±standard deviation. Using SPSS 14.0 statistical software to analyze the degree of carotid stenosis between ocular ischemic syndrome.Compare the stenosis degree of common carotid artery of ipsilateral and contralaeral . Compare the Peak systolic velocity(PSV) of the carotid artery, internal carotid artery, ophthalmic artery in the ipsilateral with the contralateral's.Summary diagnostic methods based on the observed results. Results: 17 patients (19 eyes) in patients with ischemic syndrome, male 10 cases (11 eyes), 7 female patients (8 eyes), aged 51-75 years, male to female ratio is almost equal . 16 eyes (84.2%) with varying degrees of vision loss as the main performance, there have been a transient amaurosis in 14 eyes (73.7%), eyes flashing in 10 eyes (52.6%), eye redness and pain around the eyes with 6 eyes (31.5%). The main signs are: 6 (31.5%) had iris neovascularization, 5 eyes (26.3%) were diagnosed with neovascular glaucoma, fundus changes in 16 eyes (84.2%) of retinal vein dilation, 13 (68.4)% of the Retinal spotting week, 4 eyes (21%) see the retinal artery pulse, and the cotton patches, arterial stenosis and other symptoms. The performance of the major FFA: 18 (100%) showed an artery, "forward"phenomenon, arm - retinal circulation time and retinal artery - vein extended cycle time, 15 eyes (78.9%) was stained retinal vessels, 8 eyes (44.4%) See avascular area, and other performance capillar hemangio- a, optic disc with dye and so on. 19 eyes (100%) carotid stenosis, analysis CTA and CDFI findings, carotid artery stenosis degree and ocular ischemic disease was highly positive correlation between the rate (R = 0.792, P<0.05). The ipsilateral common carotid artery stenosis and internal carotid artery stenosis of the group patients are heaver than the contralateral narrow degree, statistically ,there were significant difference (P <0.05);Compared the PSV of the ipsilateral common carotid artery and the contralateral common carotid artery of the patients in the group, there were no significant statistically differences(P >0.05). Compared the PSV of the ipsilateral carotid artery and contralateral carotid artery, there were significant difference (P <0.05); Compared the PSV of the ipsilateral ophthamic artery and the contralateral ophthamic artery, there were significant difference (P <0.05).All patients underwent vasodilator drugs and microcirculation therapy, 9 patients underwent carotid artery stenting, 2 patients underwent carotid endarterectomy, iris neovascularization in the eyes of four rows 6 retinal photocoagulation, iris Neovascularization subsided. Secondary neovascular glaucoma of 5 eyes underwent lowering intraocular pressure with drugs, of which 2 eyes underwent cryotherapy ciliary body. 3 eyes underwent retinal photocoagulation carotid artery stent implantation, neovascularization after retirement, normal intraocular pressure, visual acuity was no significant increase. Patient prognosis is poor, the current treatments can only to alleviate the symptoms , the efficiency of vision improve is low. Conclusion:The incidence of the ocular ischemic syndrome is closely related to the degree of carotid stenosis. The clinical manifestations were complex and diverse, should be early diagnosis and early treatment; FFA examination revealed carotid artery stenosis is an important means of diagnosis of the disease.
