Objective:To compare the clinical effeet of posterolateral and traditional approaches for minimally incision surgery total hip arthroplasty(MIS-THA)..Methods:From January 2008 to December 2010,157 patients who need the THR are the objects of this study (117 with posterolateral minimal incision and 37 with traditional incision). The data which were collected are about:age, gender, body mass index, blood loss, blood transfusion, operation time, incision length,ESR,C-reaction protein, complication, and prosthesis position, the Harris score pre and after the operation Etc. The measurement data are tested with statistical analysis, P<0.05 means the difference is significant. Results:The minimal incision group was found to have a significantly advantages of incision length, operation time, blood loss, ESR,C-reaction protein,Etc.(P<0.05).The prosthesis position indicated on the radiotelegram was quite well, and no statistical differences were evident in drainage volume and in Harris score and in prosthesis position indicated on the radiotelegram compare of with conventional THA.Conclusion:The posterolaterral minimally incision surgical approach is simple, operating procedure standard and reasonable, exposure adequate and accurate.and need not using special tools. However, strict attention should be paid to operative indications.
