Objective To study clinical feature and transnasal-to-sphenoid sinus approach.Methods The clinical and regular visit data of 36 cases of pituitary adenomas which were resected by transnasal-to-sphenoid sinus approach.Results The series comprised 11 males and 25 females.Prolactinomas and macroadenomas were the most common pituitary adenomas. The main clinical manifestations of pituitary tumor endocrine dysfunction symptoms, headache , visual field or vision disorders, but some patients may show atypical. MR and CT due to the popularity of the incidence of pituitary incidentlomas increased.Conclusion The approach of transnasal-to-sphenoid sinus surgery with a short time, rapid postoperative recovery of patients, postoperative complications rare.To resect pituitary tumor and surrounding tissues mostly, can effectively reduce the recurrence of pituitary tumors. Reconstruction surgery of basicranial can reduce the incidence of cerebrospinal fluid rhinorrhea.The incidence of insipidus was significantly higher of macroadenoma than microadenomas after transnasal-to-sphenoid sinus surgery. Most insipidus was temporary insipidus.
