ObjectiveTo probe the etiopathogenisis, the clinical feature and intercommunication of Henoch-Schonlein purpura(HSP).It means to provid information for the clinical diagnosis and therapy of HSP.MethodsRetrospective study of cases discharged with a diagnosis of HSP from Qilu hospital between January 2005 and October 2010.All patients were divided into different groups according to ages, genders and features, then analysed the epidemiology, clinical manifestations and laboratory examinations.SPSS13.0 was used to analyze if the characteristics above had statistical differences between different groups. Results 1. Morbidity reason, age, hospital day and gender: The study group consisted of 99 cases, the age of onset was 2-77, the average age was (22.02±19.03), impuberism patients were 61 cases (61.62%) and adult patients were 38 cases (38.38%),the incidence is higher in impuberism patients than adult patients (P<0.05).The study group consisted of 57 male cases (57.58%) and 42 female cases (42.42%).The incidence is higher in male than female (P<0.05).The average hospital day was (10.25±5.27), The average hospital day in impuberism patients was (9.16±4.84) and (12.00±5.52) in adult patients. There was no difference of average hospital day between impuberism and adult patients(P>0.05).Patients in winter and spring were 55(55.56%), patients in summer and fall were 44(44.44%),the difference between above two had no statistically significance (P>0.05)2. Inducemet:44 cases (44.44%) had obvious inducemet before onset.29 cases (29.30%) had a history of upper respiratory tract infection,7 cases (7.07%) were concerned with food,6 cases (6.06%) were related with medcine.Others contained insect stings, bathing and vaccine injection.55 cases (55.56%) had no obvious inducemet before onset. Upper respiratory tract infection was the most important inducemet (P<0.01)3.Clinical manifestation:99 cases all had purpura, both lower extremities were major involved areas. Purely Henoch-Schonlein purpura was the most common type. Gastrointestinal tract infected more in impuberism patients than adult patients and kidney infected more in adult patients than impuberism patients (P<0.01)Conclusion1. HSP can happen in any age but impuberism patients involved easily than adult patients.Male patients were more than female patients.Season factor had no effect on onset.2. Upper respiratory tract infection was the most important inducemet. Gastrointes-tinal symptoms such as stomachache and vomit happened more in impuberism patients than adult patients.Kidney symptoms such as haematuria and proteinuria happened more in adult patients than impuberism patients.
