Objective:Chinese Gynecology is an important part of traditional medicine, which is a clinical discipline in the awareness of anatomical physiology, physiological features, diagnosis rules and women specific diseases based on traditional Chinese medicine theories, and makes a great contribution to women's health and the proliferation of Chinese nation in thousands of years. Menopathy is a frequently-occurring disease in clinical gynecology and often affects women's health and quality of life. Menopathy refers to the abnormality of menstrual cycle, menstrual periods, the amounts of menstruation, and the obvious discomforts accompanied with menstrual cycle. Women suffering from menopathy currently increase year by year, and TCM has unique advantages in the treatment of menopathy with good clinical results.Before the Sui Dynasty, the diagnosis and treatment of menopathy was in the sprout and perfecting stage, moderately success in clinical experiences were achieved, and gynecological books and records gradually emerged. With systematically arrangements, induction and analysis of gynecological ancient books and records in this period, characteristics of menstrual treatment before the Sui Dynasty were concluded, and focus research on drug laws to provide the experiences in the clinical treatment of menopathy in the modern time.Methods:With the literature search and analysis tools, ancient gynecological books and records, especially related to menopathy before the Sui Dynasty, were comprehensively collected, four representative books in this period were selected out, including Mai Jing written by Wang Shuhe, Huang Di Nei Jing noted by Wang Bing, Synopsis of Prescriptions of the Golden Chamber written by Zhang Zhongjing, Zhu Bing Yuan Hou Lun written by Chao Yuanfang. The Academic thoughts and contribution to gynecology in each book were summarized. And from the above four books in the collection of 30 menstrual prescriptions, prescription names, documentation sources, formulations, pharmaceutical compositions were recorded, of a total of four. Adopted frequency analysis with SPSS17.0 software, including the analysis of frequency, types, different types of drugs used in the case before the Sui Dynasty, which recognized that could infer the dominant trends in medication and the treatment law.Conclusion:Based on the above researches, the author summarized gynecological ancient books and records before the Sui Dynasty, conclude the main academic thoughts of clinic characteristics of menopathy, and summed up the clinic menstrual characteristics before the Sui Dynasty, as well as the drug laws. Studies showed that before the Sui Dynasty understanding of menopathy tended to be systematically in the pattern of law, method, drugs and formula, not only had the summary of the previous prescription and experiences, but also existed the complete induction on the theoretical analysis, as well as the discussion of personal experiences, which continually deep in understanding of menopathy and perfect the theory of etiology and pathogenesis。...
