| Chronic Glomerulonephritis (CGN, abbr. Chronic Nephritis) is a clinical common and frequently-occurring disease. With the development of living qualities, the occurrence of Chronic Nephritis increases hugely.Because Chronic Nephritis would probably end up with chronic renal insufficiency and even uremia, also considering its heavy financial burden of treatment, it is of great importance to control the early development of Chronic Nephritis in case of chronic renal insufficiency.Western medicine therapy mainly uses the hormone and immunosuppressant with many side effects in clinical treatment, so it is very meaningful to research further on Chinese medicine therapy for Chronic Nephritis.The major clinical manifestations of Chronic Nephritis are hematuria, albuminuria, edema and hypertension, and its occurrence and development is closely related to lung and kidney two dirty in Chinese medicine theory. According to Chinese medicine theory, Lung dominates Qi, regulates the movement of waters with its dispersing out and downward function; Kidney originates essence, presides waters, stores essence. Chronic Nephritis has a long suffering and will hurt Kidney Qi. The weakness of Kidney Qi will make the human body immune to external injuries, and cause the dysfunctionality of Lung. Then body fluids could not be moved out properly by Sweat or urine, which will end up with edema, Oliguria, etc. The disorder of Qi activity could hardly control its proper movement and leave the protein, tube type and the red blood cells in the urinary. Lung is the mother of Kidney, its weakness will also hurt Kidney Qi and lose essence, then cause albuminuria and/or blood in the urine. Based on the Chinese medicine theory research, experiences and practical cases from Professor Zou Yanqin and Wang Gang, we are aiming to provide a new idea, further discussion and analysis of the application of Ventilating Lung and Tonifying the kidney in the clinical treatment of chronic nephritis. |
