A Study On The Correlation Between Coronary Artery Disease And Cerebral Atherosclerotic Stenosis

Objective:Patients with suspected coronary heart disease were examined by coronary angiography,cerebral angiography simultaneously,and studied the prevalence of cerebral atherosclerotic stenosis, the relevance between coronary heart disease and cerebral atherosclerosis, and to seek the independent predictors of stenosis.cerebral atherosclerosis.Methods:From September 2008 to September 2010,there are 68 patients with suspected coronary heart disease were examined by coronary angiography and cerebral angiography. Patients' data and blood samples were collected before angiography.The examination performed by Seldingers and Judkins technique.To analyze hypertesion,smoking,sex,diabetes mellitus,age,blood cholesterin,CHD,obesity.The significant predictors were analyzed in multivariate logistic regression model to identify the best set of independent predictors. P<0.05 was defined as Statistical significance.Results:68 cases of patients:age≥60years were 35(51.47%),48males(70.59 %),20females(29.41%),44(64.71%)had CHD(≥50%),41(60.29%)had cerebral atherosclerotic stenosis,24(75.00%)had significant cerebral atherosclerotic stenosis (≥50%).By multivariate logistic regression analysis,predictors included:coronary heart disease(P=0.024,hyperlipidemia (P=0.047),hypertesion(P=0.018).Conclusion:(1) This study showed that CHD is positively correlated with cerebral artery atherosclerosis,and there is significant correlation between triple vessel diseases of CHD and the cerebral artery atherosclerosis.(2) CHD is an independent predictors of the cerebral artery atherosclerosis.
