Chinese Medicine Xingnaojing Early Postoperative Cognitive Function In Elderly Patients

Effect of the tradition medicine xingnaojing used in the elderly patients that postoperative cognitive dysfunctionObjective To observe the effect of the tradition medicine xingnaojing on spinal anesthesia and the general anesthesia on postoperative cognitive dysfunction in elderly. Method 80 ASAⅠ～Ⅱp atients , The criteria for enrolment of the patients in this study were age≥65yr Sched -uled for selective non cardiac and cerebrovascular diseases , which has not taken the influence nerve spirit system function the medicine. Accepted the general anesthesia separately or the spi - nal anesthesia . Each group separately has 20 examples. The general anesthesia group divides into the experimental group (A) and the control group (B). The spinal anesthesia group divides into the experimental group (L) and the control group (H).The experimental group sepa -rately injected xingnaojing 20ml at 30min before the end of surgery.( to join NS 80ml). The control group separately injected NS 100ml at 30min before the end of surgery. The anesthesia time, the operation time, blood lost during the operation were also recorded. Mini-mental state examination (MMSE)was performed at 1 day before anesthesia and 1 and 2 days after surgery. Blood 5-HT and s-100βprotein were recorded before operation (T0)and after operation(T1,T2,T3)Results 1.The groups with A, Band L, H were not have the postoperative cognitive dysfun- ction before the operation. There was statistical significance MMSE score lower in preoperative than postoperative control group. 2.There was no significant difference between the two group before operation (T0).Blood serum s-100βprotein was decreased and 5-HT was increased after operation (T1,T2,T3). Conclusion 1 .The finding that neurpsychology Test and biochemistry Index can offer new proof and the information in clinical xingnaojing application.2.There was no significant difference in T0-3 serum s-100βvalue in the two kind of anesthetic methods with the general anesthesia group(A)and the spinal anesthesia group(L)used xingnao jing .3There was no significant difference in T0-3 serum 5-HT value in the two kind of anesthetic methods with the general anesthesia group(A)and have difference in the spinal anesthesia group(L)used xingnaojing. 4.The experimental groups separately advanced to inject 20ml xing naojing can degrade s-100βprotein content and raise serum 5-HT content , which can defend brain cells and improve the postoperative cognitive dysfunction in the elderly patients.
