Objective:To understand the infectious distribution of Staphylococcus aureus from children's isolates of carrying Panton-Valentine leukocidin gene(PVL gene). Methods:The 16SrRNA gene,PVL gene and mecA gene of Staphylococcus aureus was determined by multiplex PCR.And the SCCmec genetypes and subtypes of MRSA were determined by the other multiplex PCR.Results:After the detection of the sixty-six children's strains of Staphylococcus aureus,7 isolates were MRSA, positive rate was 10.6%; 59 isolates were MSSA, positive rate was 89.4%; 31 isolates were Staphylococcus aureus carring PVL gene, overall positive rate was 47.0%; among 31 isolates,2 isolates were MRSA,29 isolates were MSSA, positive rate were 28.6% and 49.2% respectively. The two isolates of MRSA earring PVL gene were all SCCmecIV.Thirty-one stains carrying PVL gene were isolated from abscess specimen(21 isolates),blood specimen(7 isolates) and sputum specimen(1 isolates). Conclusion:In the children's isolates MSSA was main strains of carring PVL gene.Staphylococcus aureus carring PVL gene are associated with suppurative infection and sepsis primarily.
